A Liliw Taste of Italian

In quaint streets of Liliw, Laguna, people from the municipality itself and even from distant cities would go to spend time to catch up from their busy schedules – go on food trips, nonetheless. We discovered Arabela, a bake house and coffee shop, located in Rizal Street of Liliw, Laguna. Guests lined up outside, so the curiosity in us made us think there’s rather enough time to try what Arabela has to offer.

We arrived in the middle of Sunday afternoon so expect to have a long queue, outside. We’re handed over with their menu as soon as we have arrived. Looking from the outside of Arabela, people seemed to be enjoying themselves, so the gusto builds up and at the same time we’re also very hungry, coming from long travel. And after for quiet sometime, at last, our name in the guest list was called.

Arabela, from the inside, looks very old-fashioned, enclosed and rather low-ceiling. We assume it’s also a way of really getting close to people you’re with, hearing their stories clearly or how you enjoyed the food. We also noticed there’s a lot of old posters which were necessary decorations to learn about what they have envisioned for Arabela.

Jumping to food, again, thinking that it’s a bake house and coffee shop, we’re surprised with the amount of the Italian cuisines they offer, so most of what we tried were, obviously Italian. Standouts for us were their kesong puti (carabao cheese) pizza, seafood marinara and the much-raved carrot cake. Also, if you’re impulse is to take pictures of food like us, their presentation is absolutely Instagram-worthy. You’d be their instant influencer.

Carrot cake
The much-raved carrot cake that is encrusted with cashew nuts, sitting on top of sweetened milk & caramel ornate around it.

In the end, we were full. While we’re talking about our ongoing business venture and catching up in between, we caught ourselves cleaning plates after plates. Their food has the right amount of comfort so everyone would still feel the familiar tastes and simplicity to it. It was all what we’ve asked for.

Arabela is located in 503 Plaza Rizal Street, of Liliw, Laguna; opens at 11:30 AM and closes at 6:30 PM. Visit their official Facebook Page for contact details and further updates. Also, just for everyone’s information, this is not a paid post nor we’re commissioned to make food reviews for them. We just love to eat!
